Scandal Debuting in April; Private Practice on the Move

The ABC Entertainment President announced today at the Television Critic’s Association that the new series from Shonda Rhimes, Scandal, will be premiering on Thursday, April 5, after Grey’s Anatomy in the Thursdays at 10 timeslot. It’s great to have a timeslot for the show – finally – but what does it mean for Private Practice, which currently occupies that same spot?

Apparently, ABC will be moving the show, testing it out away from Grey’s Anatomy, by airing the series after the Dancing with the Stars Results Show for four weeks in April after Scandal debuts. ABC has announced the series will be moving to Tuesdays at 10 to finish out its season, starting on Tuesday, April 24 through the season finale on May 15, which also means there will be no new episodes of Private Practice in April until the 24th. How do you feel about these announcements? Stay tuned for more!
