Shonda Rhimes isn’t going to like this! Just days after Eric Dane announced he would be leaving Grey’s Anatomy after the first two episodes of the ninth season, series star Patrick Dempsey took to Twitter to not only profess his sadness at seeing Dane go, but also to post an image of Mark – in a hospital bed! Many have speculated that Dane’s character would, in fact, survive the plane crash from the eighth season finale in order to leave the door open for Mark to return later on down the line, but this new image may suggest that a different outcome is imminent for the beloved character. Either way, all will be revealed on Thursday, September 27 when Grey’s Anatomy premieres it’s ninth season. Check out the image below.
