TV Guide is reporting that ABC has picked up a fourth pilot from the realm of Shondaland. The new series, which has a pilot penned by Rhimes herself, follows a press relations crisis management consultant and her staff. The as-of-yet unnamed pilot is loosely based on the life of Judy Smith, who has managed the crises of individuals such as Monica Lewinsky and Michael Vick. Smith herself will co-executive produce the series along with Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers. This show marks the fourth outing for Shondaland, and Rhimes’ first pilot since Private Practice in 2007. The latest installment, Off the Map, will premiere on January 12, 2011.
