I’ll get right behind you for the hug to Shonda line.

It’s a tribute to her talent that people feel so strongly about the characters she’s creating but she stays at the mercy of her actors’ will to leave.
I’ll miss Lexie too, she was a great character and, for me, having her leave with such a heartbreaking scene is its own tribute to Chyler’s talent.

I know that it must have broke Shonda’s heart to kill her and she definitively needs hugs and not hate.

I have watched every season, every episode of Greys, and at the end of each episode my partner and I look at each other and say “God I love Shonda Rhimes!” Last nights episode was no different. We had no hate, no mean spirited remarks or comments. In the end Shonda created characters that we love and she has every right to have anything happen to them. We may not like how thing turn out or what happens to them. But you take the good with the bad, and yes I still love Shonda Rhimes.

I just finished to watch the episode. And until the last second I thought that I wouuld have seen Lexie walking into the woods alive. Until the moment in which Meredith says tha final monologue I was still waiting for Lexie to show up, ALIVE.
I was pretty sure that Arizona was going to die, not her.
And from the moment in which the episode ended I start saying to myself “Lexie Grey is dead”. It is difficult to accept, she probably was the character that I most loved and hated at the same time. And that final declaration of love that Mark Mark did to her was heartbreaking. I was really scared that he too was going to die.
Can’t wait for the ninth season!

In this second promo we see Lexie close her eyes. I’m thinking if it was her that was going to die they wouldn’t show her final moments in the promo because they wouldn’t want to spoil it. What do you think Adam?

Can we not forget, “They can renew their contracts, however does not make them save.”!! Shonda has stated this… I feel the one is leaving is Alex, even though he renew his contract, I feel it could very much be him!!

Someone pointed out on YouTube that if you pause the promo video at 2 seconds in (I don’t know if the promo you posted was uploaded by the same user so it could be a little off) you can see Arizona sitting up. Have you noticed this? It looks to me like it is Arizona. If it is her it seems like Lexie will die.

Having seen (on http://www.spoilersguide.com) that all the originals (Meredith, Cristina, Alex, Derek, Bailey and Dr. Webber) have renewed their contracts and seeing from the end of 8×23 and the promo for 8×24 that Altman, Hunt, April and Jackson weren’t on the plane, we’re left with Lexie, Mark, Arizona and possibly Callie (I’m not actually sure Callie was on the plane, but I can’t see any firm evidence to the contrary, so for now, she’s an option, too). As Mark seems fairly unscathed in the promo and Callie possibly wasn’t on the plane at all, my money is on either Lexie or Arizona.

Well, right scenario just the different people on board. With the recent announcement of contract renewals we know that Meredith, Cristina and Derek are safe. Mark looks fine and I heard he was safe as well. That leaves Arizona and Lexie (who both appear to be pinned under the wreckage) as the most likely to die. I hate that it could be either of them as they are two of my favs and I really hope that Shonda Rhimes wouldn’t kill either of them off.

What if the crash is a red herring? What if they all manage to survive and the person that ends up dying is April Kepner? She is really going through a rough time right now. Maybe she ends up committing suicide. Kind of what I’m hoping right now because I really don’t want it to be Arizona or even Lexie.
