TVLine/Deadline are reporting this morning that Grey’s Anatomy has added another new cast member for its upcoming ninth seaon. Camilla Luddington has been cast as a doctor at Seattle Grace Mercy West, and though details of her character are unknown, the details of her contract are not: it comes with the option to eventually become a series regular, should her character prove popular enough with audiences and producers alike. Luddington, who has previously been seen in Lifetime’s William & Kate, and is currently guest-starring on True Blood, comes cast after the recent addition of Gaius Charles to the series, both of which, of course, come in the wake of the shocking departures of both Chyler Leigh and Kim Raver in the eighth season finale.
