A Quick Word: Volume Five

It’s time for another Quick Word! I wanted to let all you guys know about the new navigation I’ve put live on the site because I think it is really exciting. Now, for both Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice, you can choose what episode you want to “explore” by simply clicking on its title from the drop-down list provided to you in the navigation! Simply go to the top of the page, right underneath the site’s title and Twitter module, and scroll over “Explore Grey’s Anatomy” or “Explore Private Practice,” where you will be presented with a drop-down list of each season. Scroll over your selected season, and you will then be presented with a list of all episodes in that season so that you can click and choose whatever episode from that season you may want to explore! (Note: the first eight episodes of Private Practice don’t have any information, so therefore clicking on them will take you nowhere, and the links for Grey’s Anatomy seasons one through the first half of season six will take you to our old archive site, where you’ll find lots of neat information about each episode. From now on, all new episodes will be linked to this blog to make browsing even easier!)

I think this will make searching much easier for everyone involved, and it also gives you die-hard fans a dedicated list of episodes for each season, in case you need to know what episode was what. In addition, I’m considering adding this kind of functionality for Glee, which is the third most popular series on All the Shades of Grey, but I’d like to know if that’s something you want to see as well.

So, be sure to check out the new episodic navigation and let me know your thoughts on if you’d like me to add the same thing for Glee as well! Not so much into Glee? Then throw your suggestion out there, but I can’t make any promises. Happy Thursday!

UPDATE : I’ve gone ahead and added Glee to the navigation bar. I’m planning on, once we get closer to the show’s so-far-away return date in April, continuing covering that show in more depth (a la our coverage of Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice), as it has also been very popular on this site.
